‘Migrate Student to New MTAC’ request is a notification your music teacher initiated to migrate your information from the previous MTAC website to the new one.  If you are under 18 years old, your parent or guardian must complete this process.

If you are a Student, 18 years or older:

If you are a student, click ‘Log Into Student Account’ button to log into the MTAC system.  You will need to confirm the migration of your student account.  

If you have multiple student accounts, log into the account that you feel is your primary one.  If this account is different from the one your teacher referenced, you will have an opportunity to merge the two accounts.  The other account will become inactive and you will no longer have access to it.  However, all the previous application history of the other account will be merged with this primary account.

Note that you may receive multiple migrate notifications.  This can happen if you are participating in MTAC programs with multiple instruments.  You must confirm each migrate notification.  

If you are a Parent:

If you are a parent, you will be able to create a new parent account if you do not already have an MTAC account.  If your child is under 18 years old,  you will be responsible for managing your child’s MTAC account.  If you have multiple children, make sure you are using one parent account to manage all your children’s accounts.

The information in the yellow box 1, is your child’s and his/her teacher information.  

Yellow box 2 is displayed if you have other children already defined.  If the student who is to be migrated is one of the students listed in the table, click ‘Merge’ button corresponding to the child.  Otherwise, click ‘Confirm’ button to migrate the student account information specified in box 1.

Note that you may receive multiple migrate notifications for the same child.  This can happen if your child is participating in MTAC programs with multiple instruments and/or teacher.  You must confirm each migrate notification.
